ABOUT FOUNDER
Hanz On is an independent artist, entrepreneur, and founder of Hanz On Music Ent (H.O.M.E), a one-stop destination for raw hip hop, artist development, and music production. His journey in music was forged not in boardrooms, but in the streets and through personal transformation. Raised in a culture where music was woven into everyday life, Hanz On found his way into the industry after coming home from incarceration and witnessing older figures in his community turn raw talent into a livelihood. That moment became a turning point — if they could make something out of nothing, so could he.
After being repeatedly turned away by major labels, Hanz On chose a different path. Rather than wait for permission, he built his own platform rooted in independence, creative control, and the freedom to operate on his own terms. That vision became H.O.M.E — a label and creative hub that is far from average, delivering authentic hip hop built on real stories of pain, struggle, and perseverance. The kind of truth he felt was missing from mainstream music. Fittingly, he used H.O.M.E's platform to release his groundbreaking project, "Carthage."
Through H.O.M.E, Hanz On has partnered with legendary artist Method Man, helping bring major collaborative projects to life, including the Methlab album series. The platform also features original releases from Hanz On, including singles and records like “Barca,” along with a growing catalog of music from artists across the label.
A self-described hustler at heart, Hanz On approaches the music business the same way he approached survival — by stretching every resource as far as it goes. In response to the streaming era’s shrinking payouts, he invested in his own recording facility, Meth Lab Studios, using consistency, volume, and strategy to close the gap. Backed by a team of experienced engineers and producers, H.O.M.E provides artists with the tools, connections, and expertise needed to create and release music that resonates worldwide.
Hanz On deliberately separates the creative and business sides of music, allowing artists the freedom to express themselves while he guides the strategy behind the scenes. For him, the most important quality in any artist is coachability — a willingness to trust a proven process over untested instincts. He values relationships above transactions and measures success not by chart positions, but by happiness, freedom, and longevity.
His greatest personal testament: over 15 years of freedom, sustaining himself through music without ever returning to the streets.
Today, H.O.M.E continues to expand, offering exclusive content straight from the Methlab, showcasing its roster of artists, and preparing for upcoming merchandise releases. Supporters are encouraged to stay connected for new music, drops, and updates as the movement grows.
His advice to any emerging artist navigating the industry independently remains simple and non-negotiable: never give up your publishing.
